Power Analyser calibration means comparing its readings against a NABL-traceable certified reference standard at multiple test points, recording the deviations, adjusting where possible, and issuing an NABL certificate — accepted by ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and all quality auditors.

Calibration Process — Step by Step

Receipt & Channel Documentation

Power analyser received. Number of voltage and current channels, current input type (direct / CT / clamp), and analysis functions documented.

Reference Power Source Setup

NABL-traceable precision AC power source (V + I synthesizer with harmonic generation) connected to analyser. Known THD% waveform generated.

Fundamental Frequency (50 Hz) Calibration

Voltage and current channels calibrated at 5 setpoints at 50 Hz. W, VA, VAR, and PF readings verified against reference values.

Harmonic Function Verification

THD and individual harmonic (3rd, 5th, 7th) readings verified against known synthesized harmonic source with documented THD%. Percentage error recorded.

Error & Uncertainty Calculation

Error at each calibration setpoint documented. Expanded uncertainty (k=2) per GUM for V, A, W, and THD functions.

NABL Certificate Issue

NABL CC-2480 certificate with power quality data, THD verification, deviations, uncertainty (k=2), IEC 61000-4-30 traceability.
