— WHAT IS TEMPERATURE FURNACE & BATH CALIBRATION —
Think of a quality lab that relies on a temperature furnace & bath for daily measurements. If it has drifted even slightly from its true value, every reading becomes unreliable — leading to defective products, failed audits, or safety risks. Regular calibration is the only way to confirm your instrument is telling the truth.
Temperature Furnace & Bath calibration means comparing its readings against a NABL-traceable certified reference standard at multiple test points, recording the deviations, adjusting where possible, and issuing an NABL certificate — accepted by ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and all quality auditors.
Compare readings against a NABL-traceable reference standard across the full measurement range.
Adjust or document deviations so your instrument reads within accepted tolerance.
Issue a NABL-accredited certificate (CC-2480) with full traceability documentation.
— INSTRUMENTS COVERED —
Liquid Bath / Dry Block / Box Furnace / TUS / Salt Bath · All Makes · AMS 2750 · NABL accredited
Portable dry block calibrators for field and lab calibration of temperature sensors.
Precision stirred liquid baths for highly uniform temperature environments.
High-temperature tube furnaces for calibration at elevated temperatures.
Compact micro-bath calibrators for handheld and portable temperature calibration.
Fixed-point cells providing ITS-90 reference points for primary calibration.
Salt and oil bath calibrators for high-temperature and stable-temperature applications.
— OUR PROCESS —
Furnace or bath type, setpoint range, and number of survey points agreed. Calibrated TC array or SPRT reference selected based on temperature range.
Calibrated sensors placed per AMS 2750 or ASTM E220 requirements (9-point for furnace TUS, central point for bath). Sensor positions documented.
Furnace/bath brought to setpoint and allowed to stabilize for minimum 30 minutes. Stability confirmed via reference recorder before survey readings taken.
Simultaneous readings from all sensor positions recorded at defined intervals. Hot spot, cold spot, and uniformity bandwidth documented.
Temperature uniformity calculated. Class conformance (AMS 2750 Class 1–6 or customer specification) assessed. Corrective action noted if out of class.
NABL CC-2480 calibration certificate and TUS report with sensor layout, readings, uniformity, and uncertainty (k=2) issued.

Prism holds NABL CC-2480 under ISO/IEC 17025:2017. TUS reports and bath calibration certificates accepted by NADCAP, aerospace primes, IATF 16949 heat-treatment shops, and ISO 9001 audit bodies.
— NON-NABL CALIBRATION —
For routine maintenance, bulk calibration, or internal QC checks where a full NABL certificate is not mandatory — Prism offers cost-effective non-NABL calibration using the same NABL-traceable reference standards and trained engineers.
All non-NABL work uses NABL-certified reference standards — readings are still reliable and defensible.
Without full NABL documentation, instruments return faster — ideal for urgent production schedules.
Non-NABL calibration costs less — practical for large batches or routine periodic checks.
Available at your facility or at our Vatva lab — same quality, more flexibility.
