— WHAT IS DIAL GAUGE CALIBRATION —
A dial gauge with a sticky plunger or inaccurate graduations will give wrong runout and flatness readings — leading to acceptance of defective parts. Dial gauge calibration verifies resolution, repeatability, and linearity against NPL standards with an NABL certificate.
Check
Measured against NPL-traceable gauge blocks at multiple points. Zero return and retrace error recorded.
Correct
Bezel zero adjustment, plunger friction check. Correction table issued if needed.
Certify
NABL CC-2480 certificate with as-found/as-left data — accepted by ISO 9001 & IATF.
— INSTRUMENTS COVERED —
All 5 dial gauge types · All makes (Mitutoyo, Baker, Insize, Sylvac, Mahr) · NABL accredited
Plunger-type dial gauges for vertical displacement and runout measurement.
Lever-type (test indicator) dial gauges for surface form and runout checking.
Bore dial gauges for measuring internal diameters with high accuracy.
Dial thickness gauges for sheet, film, and flat material thickness measurement.
Back-plunger dial gauges for measuring in confined spaces with side access.
— OUR PROCESS —
Dial gauge received, tagged, condition documented — bezel condition, pointer action, plunger travel.
Plunger and contact point cleaned, zero error noted (as-found). Plunger movement and return-to-zero checked.
Measured against NPL-traceable gauge blocks at multiple points. All deviations recorded.
Bezel zero adjustment performed. Correction table issued for instruments with systematic error.
Post-adjustment readings verified at all calibration points. Uncertainty calculated per ISO/IEC 17025.
NABL CC-2480 certificate with as-found/as-left data, uncertainty (k=2), ISO 463 traceability.

Prism holds NABL CC-2480 under ISO/IEC 17025:2017. Our dial gauge calibration certificates are valid for ISO 9001, IATF 16949, BIS, and all audit purposes.
— NON-NABL CALIBRATION —
For routine maintenance or workshops not needing NABL certification — cost-effective non-NABL dial gauge calibration with the same engineers and traceable references.
All non-NABL jobs use NPL-traceable gauge blocks — only the certificate type differs.
Non-NABL dial gauge jobs completed faster — ideal for urgent maintenance or bulk batches.
Priced lower than NABL — right choice for internal checks and non-audit use cases.
Available at our Ahmedabad lab and onsite across Gujarat — same team, same quality.
— AREAS WE SERVICE —
NABL-certified engineers travel to your facility with portable gauge block sets — calibrate 50+ dial gauges per day onsite, zero downtime.
Why Choose Prism
Since 2004, every NABL dial gauge certificate issued by Prism has been accepted by ISO, IATF, BIS, FDA, and GPCB auditors — no rejections, no rework.
